Yamachan Chenin Blanc 2021

2021 Yamachan Chenin Blanc Clarksburg, CA

This is a white wine with slight skin contact - while most skin contact wines are associated with orange wines, the purpose of this maceration was to add a little bit more body to the wine and spent 10 days fermenting on the skins. After aging in neutral french oak for 12 months, the wine has had time to rest in bottle for an additional year. The wine has traditional notes of Chenin, with honeysuckle, citrus, and zippy acidity.
