Birdhorse Barbera 2020

 

Barbera from Shake Ridge Ranch in Amador County (1800ft elevation, near Sutter Creek) was farmed organically. Grapes harvested pre-smoke from surrounding fires were 40% whole cluster fermented with native yeast, aged 18 months in barrel, then bottled. Flavor profile: Luxardo cherry, dried lavender, rhubarb, warm stones. Bright & earthy; lively acidity & rounded, long-lasting tannins.
