Pronounced Apple Liqueur
Du Nord, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, holds the distinction of being the country's first "legal" black-owned distillery. Chris Montana and his wife, Shanelle, are the founders behind this pioneering establishment. Their brand, Du Nord, operates with a mission to promote inclusivity and diversity within the beverage industry.
Du Nord apple liqueur is made using Haralson apples grown on a 66 year old orchard in Lake City, Minnesota. After cooking the juice down, the result is an apple cider with caramel and brown sugar notes reminiscent of homemade apple pie. This elixir is further elevated with cinnamon, orange peel, and clove.
