LOLA ESPADIN MEZCAL ARTESANAL
Lola Mezcal is produced by Maestro Mezcalero Lucio Bautista in Rio de Ejutla, Oaxaca. Lucio, who has been producing for many years, learned how to distill mezcal like most mezcaleros, from his father. This mezcal is made with agave Espadin that is cooked in an underground pit oven, crushed by donkey-drawn tahona, fermented in large wooden tinas, and double-distilled in copper stills.
Its rich body has spicy flavors of habanero and serrano chiles mixed with sweet, fruity accents.
