Mikami Zinfandel 2020

Circa 1895 the Mikami family emigrated from Hiroshima, Japan to Lodi, CA. Grapes on this Century Old vineyard have been grown on the property since 1902.

The 2020 Zinfandel was harvested on September 10 and aged for over 20-months in 25% new French, 25% new American and 50% neutral barrels.  Each bottle is individually hand-numbered.

Tasting Notes:
Brilliant, deep ruby color with a dark red hue. On the nose, this wine exhibits an intriguing combination of ripe, brambly red fruit notes with spicy and earthy nuances that add depth to the overall expression of the wine. The palate is layered and fleshy, packed with classic Zin fruit flavors that are present from start to finish. The liveliness of the wine shines through the long finish.
