THE TWO EIGHTY PROJECT "L'AMALGAME" ROSE
This remarkable story begins at the Filoli Historic House with the San Francisco Bay AVA, where a small vineyard is planted with over 100 different American hybrid grape varieties. There is no sampling, analysis, or data collection involved. Rather, a diverse group from The Two Eighty Project with a desire to make a courageous wine from a diverse collection of heirloom grapes. Direct-to-press, fermented with wild yeast, and bottled young to capture its carefree spirit, this is a transformative wine expression.
100% of the proceeds support The Two Eighty Project and their mission to inspire change in the wine community by offering a safe space for those who identify as BIPOC or LGBTQ+. From viticulture to winemaking, they want to create an experience that reminds them why land and community are important, and worth protecting.
Tasting notes: Sweet Tarts. Fresh Rose Petal. Candied Orange Peel. Juicy. Low Alc. Bone Dry. A real quaffer.
This wine would be perfect with pork tenderloin or grilled Chinook Salmon. Something light but also rich in flavor. Maybe throw in some goat cheese, fresh basil, a few green olives and a squeeze of Meyer lemon.
