Claridad Capon Espadin Mezcal
A deeply expressive Espadín with serious presence.
Produced in Bramaderos, Miahuatlán, Oaxaca by Maestro Mezcalero Onofre Ortíz Ortíz, this batch is made from 100% Espadín using 85 piñas, matured for 8 years and harvested capón-style. By cutting the quiote at maturity, sugars are redirected back into the agave heart, resulting in a mezcal that’s richer, denser, and more generous on the palate.
The texture is lush—almost sweet cream—with layered notes of milk chocolate, clothbound cheddar, fresh bark, roasted carrots, baking spice, and toasted hazelnut. Decadent but balanced, with mellow aromatics and a long, satisfying finish.
A standout Espadín and a compelling reminder of how thoughtful farming decisions can transform Agave angustifolia.
