Kortavebis Marani Chinuri

Made by Tamuna Bidzinashvili at Kortavebis Marani, a winery she founded in Georgia in 2014, now home to 35 indigenous grape varietals grown as a kind of living library. This dry white comes from Chinuri grapes grown in the red, iron-rich clay soils of Vaziani, "Land of the Vine," on vines up to 100 years old. Harvested by hand in early October, 70% of the fruit was de-stemmed and direct-pressed, while the remaining 30% was left in whole clusters and added to the pressed juice in qvevri, creating a semi-carbonic maceration effect. The wine was aged on the skins and stems in qvevri and bottled at the end of August 2025.

The result carries the typical richness of Georgian orange wine, balanced with plenty of drinkability and freshness.
