Hampden Estate Jamaican White Overproof Rum
Hampden Estate Rum Fire (Overproof Jamaican Rum)
Produced at the legendary Hampden Estate in Trelawny, Jamaica, Rum Fire is one of the purest expressions of traditional dunder-style Jamaican rum. One of the last producers still working this way, Hampden uses spent molasses (dunder) and muck pits to create some of the most ester-driven, high-impact rums in the world.
This unaged, overproof rum is distilled from a blend of molasses, fermented sugarcane juice skimmings, dunder, and muck. Molasses ferments for 14–20 days in cedar vats with airborne yeast before skimmings and dunder are added to lower pH and amplify complexity. Distilled in 5,000-liter copper pot stills, Rum Fire carries an ester count of 550 g/hL AA (HLCF marque), delivering explosive aromatics and unmistakable funk.
Wild, oily, and shockingly sippable for its proof, this is an indispensable bottle for rum lovers and cocktail nerds alike — a little goes a very long way.
