Brooklyn Kura Number Fourteen Craft Sake
Brooklyn Kura is dedicated to a new tradition of American Craft Sake. Building on more than 1,000 years of Japanese brewing history, they are demystifying sake and making it more accessible. Their sake is brewed in New York City, hand-crafted with the highest quality ingredients and they believe that good sake is subtle and complex, generally best served chilled or at room temperature.
In 2021, Brooklyn Kura entered into a long-term partnership with Niigata-based Hakkaisan Brewery, one of the most respected breweries in Japan and home to many celebrated sakes. The goal is simple...continue to share their love of fermentation and passion for sake around the world.
This classic, Number Fourteen, is a junmai ginjo namazake. Intended to be served locally, chilled, and enjoyed soon after the fermentation process ends. They use a blend of calrose and yamada nishiki rice milled to more than 60% and fermented cold and slow. The result is a fresh, crisp, light and aromatic sake with a dry finish.
