Xila Licor de Agave
An agave-based liqueur that blends the flavors of Oaxaca and Puebla, with agave from the former and ancho chile from the latter. Founded in 2015 by Hillhamn Salome, Flor de Luna brought Mexico City its first female-powered distillery, and five trailblazing women, Salome included, make Xila, which means “woman” in Zapotec. Seven notes come together in harmony: caramelized pineapple, lavender, chile ancho, hibiscus, clove, cinnamon, and black pepper.
Sip it chilled or over ice, or use it to add a floral, gently spiced layer to a margarita or spritz.
