Inspired by Irish whiskey production and influenced by a long history of traditional shochu distillation, Kanosuke’s Hioki Pot Still Whisky is distilled using stainless steel pot stills. Located just five minutes inland from Kanosuke Distillery and home to Komasa Jyozo’s Komasa Satsuma Gin, Hioki Distillery has been in operation since 1883 and received its license to distill grain whisky in 2020.

Freshly hewn wood, stone fruit, and citrus on the nose precede a well-balanced palate of vanilla, orange marmalade, and almond with a lingering spicy-sweet finish reminiscent of candied ginger
