Juerte Destilado De Pulque

Juerte Destilado de Pulque is distilled from agave, but unlike mezcal, this spirit is made from distilling Pulque, an alcoholic beverage made from fermenting the sap of the agave plant. 

Pulque Destilado does not have the smokey profile of mezcal, because the Pina is not cooked, but often has richer, slightly lactic, charred sugar notes that come from the fermentation process.  

This pulque distillate uses agave salmiana grown in the eastern Mexico state of Tlaxcala, which is renown for its pulque.
