Oro y Fierro Kumquat Liqueur

A refreshing take on a traditional orange liqueur, made with Nagami kumquats, little citrus fruits native to China that arrived in California in the 1880s and were first grown as ornamental trees before gaining culinary popularity in the 1960s. With a sweet rind and tart flesh, kumquats are often eaten whole for a jolt of sweet and sour perfection, and that same bright contrast carries through here.

Try it first in a Margarita or add it to a Garibaldi.
