Slow Smoked Mackrel with Chili Flakes by Fishwife


Our mackerel is wild-caught by family-owned boats in the Northeast Atlantic during the winter months when mackerel quality is at its peak. Our mackerel, which is rich in Calcium and Vitamin-D, is handcut, sweetcured, and slowly smoked over beechwood.

It's hand-packed into our tins with Spanish olive oil that's been infused in-house with crushed chillis and garlic. Enjoy over a steaming rice bowl with veggies, on crispy toasts, or stirred into pasta puttanesca.
